Mirjam Buergin has a background in Fine art and Design and works as artist, researcher, and lecturer.
Her artistic practice includes installative, scenographic and audiovisual works, as well as performances and experimental radio formats. In numerous collaborative and transdisciplinary projects, she develops asthetics, spatial concepts and dramaturgies, which renegotiate normative narratives and forms of representation.
Her work engages with collective work processes, queer-feminist and decolonial knowledge production. Her interest lies in current theories of materiality, ecological issues and the coexistence of human and non-human actors.
